Chelyabinsk region

The Chelyabinsk region is a part of the Ural Federal District of the Russian Federation. The regional center is the city of Chelyabinsk.

The region covers an area of ​​88.5 thousand square kilometers. More than 3.4 million people live in the Southern Urals. These are representatives of different nationalities.

The region is rich in natural resources. The South Urals is a monopolist in Russia for the production and processing of graphite (95%), magnesite (95%), metallurgical dolomite (71%), talc (70%).
