Traditional construction materials — metals have been relevant for more than 3,000 years. Polymer composites based on industrial fibers appeared only 50 years ago. However, due to their unique characteristics, light weight and high strength, as well as resistance to acid environments, they are actively competing with traditional materials in strategic industries: spacecraft and aircraft industries, shipbuilding, mechanical engineering, automobile manufacturing, power industry, construction, and sports equipment manufacturing.
